This bench can be transformed into a picnic table in no time!

With this versatile piece, you can quickly create extra seating without sacrificing space for a large picnic table. Whether you’re enjoying drinks with friends or a family BBQ, you can unfold your garden bench into a picnic table at any moment of the day. Model XL is suitable for 3 to 6 people and is made of planed Douglas fir planks.

Materials and Finish of the Bench and Table 2 in 1

The tabletop is screwed from underneath (see photos), meaning there are no screw holes in the tabletop. This ensures less wear, as rainwater cannot collect in the holes, extending the lifespan of your picnic table. It is also more aesthetically pleasing. The dowel finish is of excellent quality. For technical reasons, the seats of the Bench and Table 2 in 1 are screwed from above. Both the tabletop and seats are 4.5 cm thick.

Materials:
• Wood type: Douglas fir
• Wood processing: Planed and sanded
• Dimensions of wood: 4.5 cm thick × 18.5 cm wide
• Assembly: Thermally galvanised hardware

Douglas fir wood has a hardness between spruce and hardwood, making it well suited to the Dutch climate. Untreated, it lasts 10 to 15 years. For additional protection, you can treat the wood with Hermadix Douglas oil. The bench can remain outdoors during winter.

Please note: This wide-plank tabletop model must be unfolded by two people, because you cannot grip the plank as easily as with the traditional beam-style tabletop. The Bench and Table 2-in-1 for 2 to 5 people is also available with the traditional beam tabletop (4.5 × 9.5 cm). View the other model here!
