This robust picnic table made from high-quality Douglas wood is a stylish and practical addition to any garden, terrace or outdoor space, such as hospitality venues. Thanks to the open access on both sides, the table is easy to enter and exit, making it ideal for both young and old. The generous dimensions comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. The picnic table is delivered fully assembled.

The tabletop and seating are screwed from underneath, resulting in a clean finish with no visible screws on the top surface. This not only increases comfort, but also gives the picnic table a neat and luxurious appearance. A parasol hole has been fitted in the centre of the tabletop, allowing you to easily create shade on sunny days.

Advantages of using Douglas wood for the picnic table 

The durable Douglas wood is known for its strength and natural appearance and is highly suitable for long-term outdoor use. When left untreated, Douglas wood lasts approximately 10 to 15 years. For additional protection and to preserve its beautiful colour for longer, you can treat the picnic table with Douglas oil. The first treatment should be applied twice; after that, once a year is sufficient. You can order the Douglas oil together with the picnic table. You will find complete treatment kits or a single tin of Hermadix Douglas oil.

PEFC is an international certification for wood products and paper, and stands for Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification. It is supported by governments, companies and regional organisations. Wood with the PEFC label comes from sustainably and socially managed forests.

Movement of the wood

Due to the natural movement of the wood, small and sometimes longer fine hairline cracks may appear. This is a normal occurrence and does not affect the strength or stability of the picnic table. These cracks may become visible during warm and dry weather, and can partially disappear again once wetter, rainy conditions return. It is not possible to predict how this will develop in Douglas wood.
